This wind power installation is used, in particular, in isolated operation. In this case, in the event of excessive wind power an ac or three-phase generator (1) feeds into a load busbar (4) and simultaneously charges a battery (16) via a rotary (synchronous) converter (13). In the event of lack of wind power, the load busbar (4) is fed from the battery (16) via the rotary converter (13). The field winding (17) of the rotary converter (13) can alternatively be fed via a control device (19) or via an adjustable series resistor (22). The rotary converter (13) can alternatively be started via a starting resistor (23) or via a dc chopper controller (25) as a current-limiting arrangement. <IMAGE> |
