PURPOSE:To enable to feed a paper appropriately, by a method wherein a pressure plate for pressing a paper against a platen is fitted to one shaft without any clearance and is fitted to the other shaft with a clearance in the axial direction of the platen, in a printer. CONSTITUTION:A holding plate 8 is fixed to a base plate 2 of the printer, with a predetermined spacing (d) therebetween, through a plurality of small screws 9 and toggles 10, 10' provided at two parts, thereby clamping the pressure plate 3' for pressing the paper against the platen. A toggle 11 provided with a penetrating hole for the screw 9 has a thickness (d) of larger than the thickness (t) of the plate 3', and D1>D2, so that the plate 3' is pressed with a clearance, and the effect of deformation of the base plate 2 is obviated. The toggle 10 is so constructed as to restrict the plate 3' in vertical and horizontal directions, while the toggle 11 is so constructed as to restrict the plate 3' in only the vertical direction. Accordingly, the pressure plate is prevented from being deformed due to vibrations of shocks, and the paper can be appropriately fed. |
