PURPOSE:To easily separate dirty materials of alloy layers formed to the tip parts of electrodes by applying oscillation to the spot electrodes by the oscillation of an oscillator held in-between spot electrodes. CONSTITUTION:In a spot welding gun to hold an object 20 to be welded in-between the spot electrodes 13 of the tips of a couple of arms 12 and pressurize the object by the air sealing 14 of the rear part of the object to be welded, the oscillator 20 instead of the object to be welded is held in-between the electrodes. A piezoelectric element 22 of the oscillator 20 consisting of a rigid base 21, the element 22 and a contact plate 23 is excited by an electric oscillation driving part 25. In this way, oscillating waves are applied to the alloy layers which are the dirty materials formed to the tip parts of the electrodes and the dirty materials are easily separated and the service life of the electrodes can be also prolonged. |
