PURPOSE:To obtain an Oldham's ring of light weight, large mechanical strength and excellent abrasion resistance by forming the ring for a rotation prevention mechanism with a light-weight composite material comprising aluminum alloy casting having a cast reinforcement. CONSTITUTION:An Oldham's ring 6 constituting a rotation prevention mechanism for a scroll type compressor comprises a projection 6a engaged with a turning scroll groove, another projection 6b engaged with a block groove and a reinforcement 6c cast into an aluminum alloy parent metal with a high pressure casting method. The reinforcement 6c is formed substance of 90-98% porosity such as nickel or preformed short fibrous ceramic such as alumina. Therefore, an aluminum alloy can easily permeates into porous spaces at the time of casting, thereby making a light-weight composite material. According to the aforesaid constitution, it is possible to obtain the Oldham's ring 6 of light weight, large mechanical strength and excellent abrasion resistance, and the reliability and the mechanical efficiency of the compressor are improved. |
