The present application relates to a liquid dispenser, such as are primarily used in the medical sector for disinfecting the hands and for hygiene which is gentle on the hands. The disadvantage of the commercially available devices currently being used is the necessary mechanism with a pump and actuating lever, such that these devices - as also the slightly smaller wall-mounted models - have to be operated using both hands and often drip in an uncontrolled manner after removal of the liquid. Instead, a novel wall-mounted dispenser is thus proposed, which consists of a simple plastic bottle with a moulded-on joint and a forked wall holder, thus providing the possibility of single-handed operation. In the variant illustrated here, a spring-loaded valve is accommodated inside the closure cap in such a concealed manner that it only begins to function just before the first use of the dispenser by separating the lower peg, as a result of which the liquid can be removed in meterable small quantities without dripping. Since the liquid is removed directly at the underside of the dispenser in a dust-free and very hygienic manner, the device can also be used in a doctor's surgery as an ideal dampening device for swabs. <IMAGE>
