PURPOSE:To facilitate supplying and replacing of an ink, by providing a plurality of solid heat-fusible ink bodies, a correcting means for smoothening the surfaces of the ink bodies, a heating element for transferring an ink, a transfer film and a change-over means for the heat-fusible ink bodies. CONSTITUTION:When the heating element 6 is selectively heated in accordance with a printing signal from the exterior, the surface of the heat-fusible ink body 10 is melted through the transfer film 1, and the ink is transferred onto the transfer film 1. Then, the film 1 is moved in the direction of an arrow by rollers 7a, 7b, while the ink bodies 10, 11 are rotated in the direction of an arrow with a supporting shaft 16 as a center so that their positions are replaced by each other. When the next signal is inputted, the surface of the ink body 11 is melted, the ink thus melted is transferred onto the transfer film 1, and simultaneously, the ruggedness of the part of the other ink body 10 which has been locally consumed is corrected by an ink body correcting means 14 comprising a heater 11 or the like. |
