The invention relates to the field of popular leisure out of doors. The traditional system of the hammock is combined, here, with a "ridge tent" style roof with two slopes. The original nature of the invention lies in: - the material used: polyethylene film of a thickness of 15/100 mm; terylene halyard with a diameter of 6 mm; - the very simple implementation. Production is effected from a 3-metre square sheet of polyethylene. A lateral strip of 1.20 metres out of 3 metres is pleated by means of 2 halyard ends of a diameter of 6 mm and of a length of 2 metres (capstan knot plus a half-hitch). With the hammock being stretched between two anchorage points, a cord connecting these said points makes it possible to fold the remainder of the sheet in two, thus providing a roof for the user. <IMAGE>
