The subject of the invention is a self-locking paving element. The outline of each junction arm is made up of two concave and cylindrical surfaces 6, 7 and of a third cylindrical surface 8 which connects the two previous surfaces at each of their ends. The head has a convex and cylindrical lateral surface 3; the two junction arms have axes 4 DF and DJ which are inclined at 45 DEG with respect to the axis of symmetry 5 BDH of the head; the peripheral outline of each junction arm is made up of two concave and cylindrical surfaces 6 and 7 and of a surface 8 located at a distance L from the centre D; L may be variable and possibly different on the two junction arms; the base curve of the cylinder 6 is identical to a part of the base curve of the cylinder 3 IHG = LBM; the base curve of the cylinder 7 is identical to a part of the base curve of the cylinder 3 KC = CL and EA = AM. These paving elements are intended to form decorative surfaces and shingle roofs. <IMAGE>
