METHOD FOR PREVENTING DUPLICATION OF OPTICAL DISK

PURPOSE:To prevent a duplication by storing a part of data to be stored in a reproduction only area for data so as to make the data stored in the area disabled to the same address area of other optical disk. CONSTITUTION:The optical disk has areas split into plural numbers, the area of addresses A0-Am is used as a recording/reproducing area 8 and the area of addresses B0-Bn is used as a reproduction only area 7 and the addresses of each area are formatted in advance. Then a part of the stored data 10 is stored in the area 7. In copying the data 10, only the data whose addresses are stored on the sector of the addresses A0, A1 is copied and the data of the addresses B0-Bn is not copied because they are in the area 7. Thus, the copied data has a missing part and not used normally. In storing part of data in the reproduction only area in such way, the duplication of the optical disk is prevented.
