In a night vision device comprising an image intensifier having at least respectively one receiving optical system and one viewing optical system for viewing the intensified image with the eyes of the observer, the wearing comfort is improved in contrast with known night vision devices and the field of view of the observer is comparatively less constricted. For this purpose, each viewing optical system consists of a fibre optical system (1) and a concave mirror (3). The light entry surfaces of the optical fibre system (1) are directed onto the image planes of the image intensifier, and the light exit surfaces (6) of the fibre optical system (1) are directed onto the concave mirrors (3) in such a way that the light beams emerging from the light exit surfaces (6) are reflected from the concave mirrors (3) at an angle ( beta ) other than zero.
