A method for producing high-voltage-resistant transformers and inductors from a plurality of winding layers having intermediate insulation layers and potting to form the final shape, in one final operation. A self-supporting winding former (1) which is potted to form the final shape is produced from the same material as the final potting; a first layer winding (2) is fitted on the winding former (1); segments (3, 4) made of the same material as the final potting are in each case produced and inserted as the intermediate insulation; further layer windings (5, 6) are in each case fitted on the segments (3, 4); the complete arrangement is potted to form the final shape, in a final operation. <IMAGE>
