The invention relates to a filter device with a filter for the fresh-air feed to the passenger compartment of a motor vehicle, which filter device is detachably connectable to the intake connector of a suction fan arranged in the motor vehicle. An air-permeable filter support in the form of a hollow body is provided, which has a connection consisting of a connecting line connected to the filter support and a connection neck which can connect the connecting line to the suction fan and also has a one-way valve which is arranged in the filter support or connection and opens the hollow space defined by the filter support and the connection to the outside when the subatmospheric pressure prevailing in this hollow space has reached or exceeded a specific value. The outer wall and/or inner wall of the filter support is covered, outside the connection and the one-way valve, with the filter. The filter support is arranged in a hollow space, provided with openings to the open air, of the motor vehicle.
