PURPOSE:To prevent the increase of electric resistance of a two-layer coated carrier having a surface coating layer consisting of fluoroplastic and underlying resin layer without affecting the electric charge characteristic of the carrier by adding a resistance controlling agent to the underlying resin layer of said carrier. CONSTITUTION:The resistance controlling agent is added to the underlying resin layer of the two-layer coated carrier having the surface coating layer consisting of the fluoroplastic and the underlying resin layer for improving the adhesiveness between the surface coating layer and the core material. The electric resistance of the underlying resin layer is controlled and the increase of the electric resistance of the carrier generated by providing the underlying resin layer is prevented by adding the resistance controlling agent to the underlying resin layer in contact with the core material in the above-mentioned manner. since the resistance controlling agent is not added to the surface coating layer, the good electric surface coating layer is maintained without generating a change of the surface coating layer of the carrier occurring in the addition of the resistance controlling agent. Magnetite powder, fine metal powder, etc., having <=0.5mum grain size are preferable as the resistance controlling agent to be used. |
