Cycloid pedal mechanism device with progressive drive variation. It consists of the combination of drive gearing 3 integral with the pedals 1, 2 with two oval and off-centred sets of gears 5, 6 driven by a satellite gear 4 and the second set of gears being integral with the plate (sprocket) onto which the transmission train to the wheel sprocket is meshed. It is designed to facilitate passage through the neutral points and to reduce the passive resistances in order to increase the efficiency by a better use of muscle power. <IMAGE>
