CONSTITUTION:At the magnetic recording band 1 of a magnetic card C, an inherent area 2a and an identifying area 2b are provided, and to an inherent area 2a, the inherent data such as a transaction No. or amount information are magnetically recorded and to an identifying area 2b, the identifying code is magnetically recorded beforehand. When respective peak values a1, a2... of the inherent data are successively sampled and A/D converted, identifying codes b1, b2... corresponding to respective peak values are obtained and the identifying codes are recorded into the identifying area 2b. Respective peak values of the reproducing signal of the inherent data are successively converted to the detecting code coded by an A-D converter, compared with the reproduced identifying code and the justification of the magnetic card is identified by a card reader. |
