<p>This machine comprises two successive workstations, namely: a station (3) for welding the closing film (2) onto a packing tray (1), and a station (4) for cutting this film around the edges of such a tray. For the movement of each tray between these two workstations, a simple slide plate (12) is provided, extending between these two stations, another stationary receiving plate (11) being located at the welding station (3). Moreover, means for gripping and entraining the edges of the closing film (2) are arranged on either side of the slide plate (12). Thus, the entrainment of each tray between the two workstations is ensured by the pulling action exerted thereon by the closing film. Finally, an entrainment conveyor (13) is arranged at the cutting station (4) and beyond the latter, in order to discharge each packing tray (1) out of the machine after it has been separated from the closing film (2). This machine may be used for closing trays and other packing receptacles containing various types of articles. <IMAGE></p> |
