The method for preparing exocellular antigenic fractions of Bordetella pertussis comprises a first step wherein a strain of Bordetella pertussis is cultivated in an appropriate culture medium capable of causing the secretion of the antigenic fractions searched for; a second step for the treatment of collected supernatents; and finally a third step of extraction and purification. Application to the preparation of a vaccine against whooping-cough.
