Reprocessing method for spent oil and reprocessing plant

For reprocessing spent oil contaminated with PCB and dirt constituents, a method and a plant are used in which the spent oil is first processed with water to give an emulsion which is then subsequently broken by addition of a preliminary breaking agent, so that the free oil can be scooped off and passed to incineration. This scooping is carried out in a way which minimises the water content of the spent oil, so that the correspondingly purified spent oil can then be safely disposed of by incineration. The water is circulated and intensively purified, so that the costs thus incurred can also be kept within limits. <IMAGE>
