<p>A process for separating and purifying metals of the platinum group from base metals in aqueous acid solutions is described. For this purpose a substituted thiourea having the general formula R1R2N-CS-NH-COR3 or R1R2N-CS-NH-COOR3 is used as the extracting agent. N,N-dialkyl-N' benzoyl thioureas, wherein R1 and R2 represent methyl, n-butyl or n-hexyl groups are preferably used.</p> |
