PURPOSE:A cell segregating agent capable of adsorbing a desired cell such as immunosuppressive lymphocyte or immunosuppressive factor forming cell from a flotation solution of animal cell group and separating, comprising fibers of hydroxyapatite. CONSTITUTION:Hydroxyapatite is dispersed into an aqueous solution of a water- soluble high polymer compound and the dispersion is extruded from a nozzle 5 to form a fiber flow. A high-speed gas flow is jetted to the fiber flow, the fiber flow is heated to >=100 deg.C and water content is removed to give fibers. Then, the fibers are sintered at 200-1,350 deg.C. The fibers 22 have preferably 1-100mum average diameter. The hydroxyapatite is preferably hydroxy calcium apatite and has especially preferably a ratio Ca/P of calcium Ca to phosphorus P of 1.4-1.8.
