The connector, for attaching flexible corrugated stainless steel tubes covered with stainless steel wire mesh to a plated accessory without welding, consists of (a) a pair of supported bushes each having a smooth semi-circular side to guide and support the flexible tube, a small internal bead which fits in the hollow in the corrugated surface of the flexible tube, and an internally-threaded semicircle to receive the attachment which presses against a copper ring seated on a special asbestos ring so as to seal between the flexible tube and the bush; (b) a bush with a slight internal taper which fits over the two half-bushes and fixes them rigidly; and (c) an opt. safety brake or ring.
