<p>Process for the production of a mammalian stromelysin by a recombinant DNA process. The invention also relates to specific proteins, DNA sequences, vectors, host organisms, pharmaceutical compositions, DNA probes, antibodies and to the use of stromelysin to enhance the activity of collagenase. Stromelysin may be useful therapeutically for example in the debridement of dermal ulcers, modification of scar tissue formation arising from healing of wounds and in the treatment of herniated vertebral discs.</p> |
