PURPOSE:To previously compensate thermal expansion caused in the point end of a vane so as to smoothly operate the vane when it is rotated at a high speed, by forming a point end part of the vane in a tapered shape a thickness of which decreases toward the point end direction. CONSTITUTION:A vane 1 slidably arranged in a vane groove is formed nearly in a shape squared with one end open, and a thickness of the vane 1 in its central part 1a is decreased smaller than that in its main unit part 1b. A point end part 1c of the vane 1 is formed in a tapered shape in a slightly small thickness. Since the amount of thermal expansion in a vane end is previously compensated by the tapered shape even if the vane end generates heat by its high speed rotation, the vane end never causes scuffing with a housing, side plates and the vane groove. |
