PURPOSE:To perform idling speed control accurately and surely, by detecting variations in engine load with that in battery voltage, while speculatively compensating an engine speed when a battery voltage variation comes to more than the specified value. CONSTITUTION:In time of detecting an idling state of an engine 1 by an idling detection device 10, an idling speed regulating device 8 is controlled by a control device 13 on the basis of the output of an engine speed detection device 11 and then feedback compensation takes place for making an engine speed come to the desired one. In addition, when a voltage variation in a battery 5 detected by a battery voltage detection device 12 comes to more than the specified value, idling speed regulating device 8 is controlled by the control device 13 and the engine speed is speculatively compensated as much as the specified value. With this constitution, control responsiveness to load variations can be improved and, what is more, a significant improvement in the reliability of idling speed control is well promoted. |
