PURPOSE:To access simultaneously sequentially plural files loaded to plural magnetic tape units by recording the information to show a file access order corresponding to the machine number of a magnetic tape unit to a tape starting edge part. CONSTITUTION:Reading information from an output 58 is inputted to gates 31 and 32, the gate 31 comes to be effective by an output 60 of a machine number setting circuit 14 and an output 66 of a magnetic tape file loading storing circuit 19 and the information of an output 58 is inputted to a collating deciding circuit 15. The collating deciding circuit 15 can be operated by a magnetic tape file loading signal 59, compares and collates the machine number information and the contents of reading information 58 by the signal a gate 31 or 32, and thereafter, decides whether or not a magnetic tape file to be coincident to the machine number of a magnetic tape unit 10a is loaded. When the deciding result is coincident, a signal is sent to an output 63, and a ready signal circuit 64 is made effective. On the other hand, when the result is discriminated to be dissident, an alarm driving circuit 16 is driven by an output 62, displaying or an alarm to a handler is issued by a lamp or a buzzer 18.
