PURPOSE:To obtain a good image having excellent developability and fixability by polymerizing a monomer compsn. contg. the polyvalent metal salt of a monomer contg. a carboxylic group and at least two kinds of polymn. initiators which are different in half-life. CONSTITUTION:The monomer compsn. contg. at least the polymerizable monomer, coloring agent, and the polyvalent metal salt of the monomer having the carboxyl group is polymerized in an aq. dispersion medium by at least two kinds of the polymn. initiators which are different in the half-life. A quick initiation system is formed with the polymn. initiator of the short half-life and the slow initiation system is formed with the polymn. initiator of the long half- life at a suitable polymn. temp. by using the polymn. initiators which are different in the half-life. The resin having a small degree of polymn. and low mol.wt. is formed in the quick initiation system and the resin having a high mol.wt. is formed in the slow initiation system; therefore, the mol.wt. distribution of the resin can be controlled by combining the suitable initiators and setting the suitable polymn. temp. |
