PURPOSE:A novel hair detergent composition excellently showing washing effects by washing action and by foaming effects and hair nourishing and hair growing effects as well, obtained by combining a carbonic acid gas generating substance with ginger extract and a water-soluble high polymer substance as essential components and adding the components to a detergent. CONSTITUTION:A detergent (especially preferably sodium lauryl sulfate or sodium cetyl sulfate) is blended with a carbonic acid generating substance (especially preferably sodium hydrogencarbonate or sodium carbonate and preferably 25-40wt% based on the total amounts), an extracted essence component of ginger and a water-soluble high polymer substance [e.g. gum arabic, methyl cellulose, POVAL (polyvinyl alcohol), etc., and 0.2-3wt% based on total amount] as essential components to give a novel solid hair detergent composition. EFFECT:Has improved stability of product, is uniformly dispersed and dissolved in water or warm water. Being solid, the composition reduces expense such as container cost, transportation cost, etc.
