MANAGEMENT SYSTEM FOR TRANSMITTED MULTI-LINK CONFIRMATION VARIABLE

PURPOSE:To economize the transmitted multi-link confirmation variable management by managing the queue of a sent packet awaiting the confirmation of transmission at a receiving side in the order of transmission and setting the transmission serial number of the packet placed at the head of the queue as the transmitted multi-link confirmation variable. CONSTITUTION:A queue management means 100 manages the queue of transmitted packet awaiting the transmission confirmation at the reception side. A transmitted multi-link confirmation variable control means 200 sets the transmission serial number n1 of a packet placed at the head of a queue managed by the means 100 as a transmitted multi-link confirmation variable MV. A packet communication equipment at the sender side preserves a transmission unconfirmed packet for retransmission, since the means 100 manages the packet as stated above, the packet placed at the head of the queue is a packet transmitted fastest and the transmission serial number n1 provided thereto is set as the transmitted multi-link confirmation variable MV. Thus, no exclusive memory is not required to set the variable MV.
