PURPOSE:To easily execute working, to raise the accuracy, and to prevent a deformation caused after can manufacturing a can, by holding vertically a square can drum, fitting and installing the square can drum to an inner die, and also, allowing an outer die to abut on the outer wall of the can drum, moving the inner die to the outer die side, and executing the frame protruding working. CONSTITUTION:A can drum plate 1 is rounded to a cylindrical shape and its end edges are welded, a cylindrical round can drum 2 is formed, this round can drum 2 is placed on a lift 5 and made to ascend as indicated with an arrow 8, and fitted and installed to a square die 3, by which a square can drum 4 is formed. Subsequently, the square can drum 4 is placed on a lift 7 and made to ascend as indicated with an arrow 9, fitted and installed to an inner die 6, and also, an outer die 10 is placed. Next, the inner die 6 is moved to the outer die 10 side and pressed, by which a frame protrusion is executed to the can drum 4. The frame protrusion in this case is stretched to the outside, based on the present position of the can drum plate as a reference, therefore, a distortion at the time of working is absorbed by stretching the material.
