The invention relates to a device for closing off a space, in particular an annular gap between a wall lead-through and a medium-channelling pipe (1) which is guided through this. Diaphragms (3) are arranged such that they cover the annular gap at both ends of the lead-through. It is provided that the diaphragms (3) comprise a flexible plastic sheet provided with a flexible metal layer. The diffusion of moisture in the annular space is thus prevented. Consequently, the medium-channelling pipe (1) is protected against corrosion. <IMAGE>
