PURPOSE:To make data transmission efficient between communication equipments STA by shortening time required for relaying and switching a preferential right request signal and recognizing the way the transmission right is taken over and acquired through minimum signal exchange. CONSTITUTION:Each communication equipment STA delays a reception signal SR by about one bit to transmit it. In order to request the transmission right, said equipment STA transmits its own code instead of a received priority code if the received one is higher. If the communication equipment STA has the transmission right and a received transmission right request signal CT different from its own signal, it responds the different signal, transmits a taking over designation signal CT' showing the communication equipment that will take over the transmission right next time. Then it abandons the transmission right, while the other equipment relays the signal CT'. After the communication equipment that will take over the transmission right acquires the transmission right by receiving the signal CT', it transmits a recognition signal. The other equipment relays the recognition signal, and simultaneously recognizes the communication equipment that acquired the transmission right.
