PURPOSE:To easily obtain a graphic display method that can make expansion and reduction at the same magnification at all times by inputting the central point of a graphic of an extent to be magnified or reduced on a graphic displayed in a display device, and displaying the graphic expanded or reduced at a fixed magnification. CONSTITUTION:When an expanded graphic is displayed in addition to an objective graphic in a display device 13, the expanded graphic is erased from the screen. Then, a user operates a mouse 11 and inputs the central point of a place to be expanded. A graphic of a square extent having a side of (r) dots (r>0, constant) with the point as the center is expanded at magnification (n) (n>1, constant) and the expanded graphic is displayed on already displayed graphic. By denoting the magnification (n) as 0<n<1, the graphic can be reduced by similar procedure.
