发明名称 HOT FORGING METHOD FOR TITANIUM ALLOY INGOT
摘要 PURPOSE:To obtain an alloy piece of high quality, on which a surface crack scarcely occurs, by heating an object to be forged, from the side face and forging it, inthe case of manufacturing the alloy piece by bringing a titanium alloy ingot of a high temperature to hot forging. CONSTITUTION:In the case of manufacturing an alloy piece from a columnar titanium alloy ingot, a part which becomes a side face of the alloy piece is apt to become a low temperature in the course of forging, therefore, cooling of the side face part of the alloy piece is prevented by heating an object to be forged 1 from the side face. At the time of high temperature, a titanium alloy is apt to absorb hydrogen, therefore, a torch 2 is executed by a weak oxidizing flame. In this way, since the surface of the object to be forged does not become a low temperature, generation of a surface crack flaw is prevented.
