PURPOSE:To obtain a high-strength Ti alloy excellent in corrosion resistance, tensile strength, and wear resistance, by alloying Mo, Ta, Nb, V, etc., into Ti so as to be formed into a material of beta-single phase and by subjecting the above material to workings after sintering so as to reduce porosity and form a lamellar structure. CONSTITUTION:One or >=2 kinds of beta-phase forming elements among 15-40%, by weight, Mo, 10-30% Ta, 25-45% Nb, and 5-40% V are mixed with Ti. This mixture is compacted and subjected to presintering or to preliminary hot processing, and the resulting sintered compact is subjected to swaging and then to wire drawing or to rolling. In this way, high-strength titanium alloy having lamellar structure as well as a porosity of <=3% can be manufactured.
