<p>PURPOSE:To permit a sheet member which is not gripped to be transported without being rolled around a support member, by causing a relation between substantially confronting positions on a sheet member support body to approach to a same position and providing a guide for separated sheet member on an extension of an inlet guide. CONSTITUTION:A paper sheet transported from a paper sheet feed cassette is gripped by a gripper on a transcribing drum through an inlet guide at a timing given by a resist roller. When it is gripped properly, the lever end of a gripper sensor 15 is not brought into contact with the paper sheet. When it is not gripped, the paper sheet is brought into contact with the lever end so that a gripping miss is sensed. When the gripping miss is sensed, the tip of a separation pawl 9 is shifted from a point A to a point A', a solenoid 15 is controlled and an action is taken to cause a picture image creation circuit to interrupt a creation of a picture image. With the arrangement, since a creation of a picture image is interrupted even if gripping is missed, a transcribing drum is prevented from being contaminated by toner for transcribing a picture image and a missed paper sheet is discharged automatically, whereby a need for an operator to remove the paper sheet from a machine is eliminated.</p> |
