PURPOSE:To stably latch a binary without using a smoothing circuit by provid ing the titled circuit with a circuit element such as a Zener diode to be conducted by a voltage of more than a prescribed value and a switching means to be turned on and off by the presence and absence of connection. CONSTITUTION:The output of a full-wave rectifying circuit 4 is shown by a pulsating current (a). The pulsating current is applied to a photocoupler 8 when a contact 3 is ON and the output of the photocoupler 8 is shown by a waveform (b). On the other hand, the output of a rectifying circuit 4 is applied to a Zener diode 123 in a latching command forming circuit 12. The diode 123 is conducted at every cycle at the prescribed phase of the pulsating current and a photocoupler 122 is turned on in accordance with the conduction of the diode 123. The output of the photocoupler 122, i.e., the output of the circuit 12, appears regularly as shown in (c). The pulse is applied to the timing terminal T of a latch circuit 11 to latch the output of the photocoupler 8. Thus, a binary signal can be stably latched without using a smoothing circuit.
