PURPOSE:To measure easily the side length of a beltlike body during conveyance by providing a light transmissive part to the run center part of a belt on which the beltlike body is mounted, and providing a photoelectric switch which detects the front end of the beltlike body and indicates arrival at a specific position. CONSTITUTION:A couple of left and right conveyor belts B1 and B2 are held at a proper interval and light is transmitted through them. The beltlike body T to be measured is conveyed by the belts B1 and B2 at a high speed. A projector 1 and a high-speed line sensor camera 2 constitute the 1st measuring means which detects the front end of the beltlike body T through photoelectric conversion by utilizing its light/shade boundary. A projector 3 and a photoelectric switch 3a detect the front end of the beltlike body conveyed on the conveyor and generates a length measurement command. A high-speed line sensor 5 photodetects light projected by a projector 4 as a light-quantity component in the running direction of the conveyor and those form the 2nd measuring means. |
