PURPOSE:To reduce the working cost by coating the surface of the tip section of a circular saw blade brought into contact with a body to be cut with the hardest material and automatically recovering the cutting performance against the abrasion of the blade. CONSTITUTION:The surface of the tip section 6 of the addendum 5 of a circular saw blade is coated with the hardest material 7. Coating is selected among evaporation, deposition, percolation, plating methods, etc. The hardest material 7 can be selected among, e.g., titanium, ceramics, etc. When the tip section 6 is abraded, a curved section 8 protruded at the rear is brought into contact with a body to be cut 9. Since the curved section 6 is soft as compared with the tip section 6, the portion 10 is quickly abraded when pressed hard to the body to be cut 9. Accordingly, the tip section 6 is automatically formed into a sharp addendum again, and the cutting performance is recovered. |
