METHOD OF PREVENTING AIR LOCK OF CIRCULATING PUMP

PURPOSE:To prevent the air lock of a circulating pump from being caused by air in a circulating passage, by intermittently running the pump before heating with a burner. CONSTITUTION:When air 1 comes into the rotation chamber of a pump 2 at the beginning of operation of a pump 2 so that air lock might be caused, the pump is temporarily stopped so that the air is not involved by an impeller 3 but pushed into a discharge pipe by water pressure as shown in (c). The pump 2 is thereafter operated again. Such intermittent operation is effected to prevent the air lock. The air moved out of the pump 2 is held in a tank so that the air does not return to the pump.
