<p>PURPOSE:To perform the fundamental operation for two kinds of cassette different in size by providing a means which transmits the rotating force to a vertically movable reel base and a means which automatically selects and sets the size of a cassette at the time of insertion of the cassette. CONSTITUTION:When a larger cassette is inserted to a cassette holder 12, microswitches 14a an 14b are made conductive, and a system control circuit discriminates insertion of the larger cassette to move a slide lever 22 in the direction of an arrow P. Then, a cam 22b pushes a boss part 26a of a turning lever 26 to disengage a relay gear 24 from a gear part 16a of a reel base 16 and the third reel base 18a. When a smaller cassette is inserted to the cassette holder 12, only the microswitch 14a is made conductive to discriminate insertion of the smaller cassette, and the slide lever 22 is moved in the direction of an arrow Q to raise the third reel base 18. The third reel base 18 is connected to the reed base 16 through the relay gear 24. Thus, recording, reproducing, fast forwarding, etc., are performed for both of larger and smaller cassettes.</p> |
