PURPOSE:To make the space for movement of an optical card unnecessary, to miniaturize a device by fixing the optical card and moving a head part, which projects the light beam to the optical card, to an optional position on a two-dimensional plane. CONSTITUTION:A head part 100 is attached to the first sliding means 200, and the means 200 is attached to the second sliding means 300, and optical card 400 is fixed. The light beams from a laser diode 103 are condensed by a condenser lens 102 and is projected onto the card 400, and the reflected light beams are made incident on a photodetector. A coil 206 is allowed to magnetically act upon a permanent magnet 202 by flowing a current to the coil 206 to slide the lens 102 in the Y direction. If a coil 306 is allowed to magnetically act upon a permanent magnet 302 by flowing a current to the coil 306, the whole of the first means is slided in the X direction. Thus, currents given to coils 206 and 306 are controlled to move the lens 102 to an optional of the card 400.
