PURPOSE:To improve the operativity of an equipment by switching the operation modes of various equipments automatically according to the use state. CONSTITUTION:A switch 1 is a switch for specifying and resetting an automatic copying paper selection (APS) mode where copying paper of proper size is selected automatically by detecting the size of an original, and a switch 2 is a switch for selecting a set mode or an operation mode set to far by referring to the state of the switch 1 when a reset switch is pressed. Further, a switch 3 is a switch for monitoring the on states of the switches 1 and 2 when the original is not placed at a specific position. Namely, even when the switch 3 is on and the switches 1 and 2 are both on, a CPU9 is instructed not to perform the APS mode unless the original is placed correctly. Further, even when the switch 3 is off and the original is not placed, the CPU9 is instructed to perform the APS mode on condition that the switches 1 and 2 are both on. |
