<p>The invention relates to an orthodontic device for positioning and holding an individual's teeth in a pre-determined position. Said device comprises two generally U-shaped splints (2, 3), namely a lower mandibular splint (3) and an upper maxillary splint (2), each of which is provided with tooth sockets (4, 5) to receive the individual's teeth. The inventive device is characterised in that it is produced from an elastically deformable material. Furthermore, the shape and dimensions of said sockets are such that at least one part of the surface of the teeth is subjected to a pinching effect by the walls of said sockets (4, 5). The invention also relates to the production methods for said device.</p> |
