Solid, photoconductive layers, containing an organic, photoconductive compound and a photosensitive compound which acts as a sensitiser therefor, where the photoconductive compound is a polysiloxane carrying pendant carbazole groups and the sensitising compound is an organic dye or an organic pigment, in particular a perylene-3,4:9,10-tetracarboxylic acid derivative. The invention furthermore relates to electrophotographic recording materials containing an electroconductive support and a solid, photoconductive layer according to the invention applied thereto.
