PURPOSE:The titled stable composition obtained by blending a synthetic polymer with a specific methylenebis(salicylic acid dialkyl hydrazide) compound with suppressed decomposition and deterioration. CONSTITUTION:A composition obtained by blending 100pts.wt. synthetic polymer with 0.001-5pts.wt. at least one methylenebis(salicylic acid dialkyl hydrazide) expressed by the formula (R1 and R2 are 1-4C alkylene; R3 is H, Cl, methoxy or 1-8C alkyl). Examples of the above-mentioned compound used include methylenebis(salicylic acid dimethyl hydrazide), methylenebis(3-methylsalicylic acid dibutyl hydrazide), etc. Furthermore, a phenolic antioxidant is preferably added.
