PURPOSE:To make possible simultaneous forming of the base portion or leg segments of a vessel of high density by a method wherein the outsides of the base portion or leg segments are provided by a bottom forming die and the corresponding concave portion, while inner cavities are formed once in the inner portions and then synthetic resin is compressed and forced in. CONSTITUTION:A synthetic resin sheet is attracted to the inside of a female forming die 6 by vacuum attraction from attracting holes 8 of the female forming die 6 and at the same time a male forming die 1 is lowered into the female forming die 6. Thereby, the upper opening portion and the side wall portion of the vessel (n) are compression-formed between the male forming die 1 and the female forming die 6. The lower end 3a of the bottom portion forming die 3 projecting from the lower edge 2a of main body of the male forming die 1 falls and enters the inner part of a concave portion 7 of the female forming die 6, the softened synthetic resin is pressed against the inside of the concave portion 7 to form the outside of the vessel base portion n'', but the bottom wall portion n' enclosed by this cavity 7 is left unformed. Then, when nearly at the same time the bottom forming die 3 is lifted and a pusher 4 is lowered, softened synthetic resin of the bottom wall n' is pressed by the falling pusher 4 and forced into the inner cavity portion (m) of the base portion n'' produced by the lifting of the bottom portion forming die 3. |
