摘要 PURPOSE:To speedily inverting the temperature of immersion liquid and to improve measurement accuracy by forming a heat conductive layer on the surface of a stage and providing a thermoelectric element which inverts the heating and cooling operations of the top and reverse surfaces by switching the direction of a current on the heat conductive layer. CONSTITUTION:A base plat where the stage of a refractive index measuring instrument is constituted is formed of a rectangular heat insulator and a light transmission part 3 is formed at the center part. Further, a light guide cylinder 4 is projected on the reverse surface of the light transmission part 3, a silver plate 5 is adhered to the top surface, and a semiconductor 7 of bismuth or telluride and a tank 8 are stuck in order and fixed to the base plate 2. Further, the to surface of the silver plate 5 is covered with a heat insulator 6 except the semiconductor 7 and a mount part for slide glass 15 and the water temperature on the surface of the semiconductor 7 is held by cooling water which circulates in the tank 8. Then, the current conducted through the semiconductor 7 is switched to the forward and backward directions to invert the temperature of the immersion liquid in a cell mounted on the glass 15, thereby improving the measurement accuracy.
