Additives with anticorrosion effect for aqueous fluids, of general formula: <IMAGE> in which one of the symbols X or Y denotes a hydroxyl group while the other denotes a group chosen from the residues -OR2 and -NR3R4. R1, R2 and R3, which are identical or different, denote a monovalent hydrocarbon radical and R4 denotes such a radical or else a hydrogen atom. The aqueous compositions according to the invention include 0.005 to 50 % by weight of these additives and contain 0 to 20 % of a mineral oil.
