<p>PURPOSE:To obtain an optical fiber temperature sensor which has small hysteresis and high accuracy of temperature measurement by using an optical fiber which is coated with tin as an optical fiber for the sensor. CONSTITUTION:The tin-coated optical fiber 2 is arranged running in an object 4 of measurement. This optical fiber 2 is formed by providing a tin coat 22 to the outer periphery of an optical fiber 21. Then, light from a light source 1 is made incident on the optical fiber 2 for the sensor and a photodetector 3 is arranged at the other end of this optical fiber 2 to measure the loss of the light propagated in the optical fiber 2. Thus, tin is used as the coat material of the optical fiber 2 to realize the optical fiber temperature sensor which has small hysteresis and high accuracy of temperature measurement.</p> |
