PURPOSE:To minituarize an facsimile equipment by disposing a handset in a space formed by the width of an original and that of a recording paper of the equipment in which the width of the conveyable original is bigger than that of the recording paper. CONSTITUTION:When the right end 6a of the original 6 and the right end 7a of the recording paper 7 are disposed nearly on the same plane, the space of the width which corresponds to a difference Lo-Lp between the original width Lo and the recording paper width Lp is formed in the left side of a recording part. If the handset 4 of a telephone set is disposed on the space area, the disposition of a horizontal projection surface can effectively be obtained. Thus, a projection area becomes smaller, and a whole height becomes smaller, whereby the equipment can be minituarized.
